Kidnapped Wives of Jigawa LG Chairman Regain Freedom

The abducted wives of Kiyawa Local Government Chairman in Jigawa State have been released by their abductors.

They were released on Wednesday at the Ningi local government area of Bauchi State.

The WikkiTimes had earlier reported how gunmen on Friday night stormed the residence of Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa, the Kiyawa chairman, kidnapping his two wives when the terrorists invaded his house after Isha’i prayer.

But the Jigawa State Police Command’s Spokesperson, Lawan Shi’isu Adam, confirmed their release in a statement. He stated that the two women were released and reunited with their families.

“The two (2) wives of Kiyawa LG chairman have been released by their abductors at Ningi LGA of Bauchi state”.

“They had since been reunited with their family, ” Adam said.

However, the police spokesperson did not clarify whether or not a ransom was paid before their release.
