WikkiTimes gathered that the case, which is now treated as a case of culpable homicide, had Polmi severely beaten during an altercation involving him and the assailants at his workstation.

He was rushed to ATBUTH for medical treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Confirming the incident to reporters on Sunday morning, Spokesperson of Bauchi Police Command, CSP Ahmed Wakil said findings indicate that the confrontation stemmed from accusations of theft involving clothing and personal belongings of a tenant.

He said all the four suspects are now in police custody, assisting with the investigation.

Wakil added, “The Commissioner of Police has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances of the attack.

“This is a serious case, and we will ensure justice is served.”

Wakil said Polmi’s body has been deposited at the ATBUTH mortuary pending further examination.
