The National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced online accreditation for journalists and media organizations for the forthcoming 2023 election.
The commission, on its Twitter handle, Thursday notes that journalists are expected to monitor the election process across the nation. It, however, urged media organisations and journalists wishing to cover the election to apply via an online portal starting from today to February 9.

“INEC has commenced online accreditation for journalists & media organizations wishing to cover the #NigeriaDecides2023 election.
“Interested media organizations who wish to deploy Journalists to cover the election are by this notice expected to apply.
“Late submission shall not be entertained as the portal would automatically shut down by 5 pm, Sunday on the deadline,” the commission tweeted.

INEC noted that interested media houses should apply via a link embedded here.
Presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for February 25, 2023, while governorship and state assembly elections will be held on March 11, 2023.
