Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has picked Kelatapawa Farauta, a female professor, as his running mate going into the 2023 governorship election in the state.
With this development, the governor dropped the current deputy governor of the state, Crawder Seth. They were elected under the platform of the PDP in the 2019 general elections.

WikkiTimes gathered that Professor Farauta is the current Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi. She hailed from Numan local government of the state.
“it is true that my principal has replaced His Deputy with a female running mate prof Farauta,” Solomon Kumargar, Director-General media and communication to governor Fintiri told WikkiTimes’ reporter in Yola.
