The Tinubu Support Organization (TSO) says Hamisu Chidari, speaker of the Kano state house of assembly, has reiterated his support for the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu,TheCable reports.
Tinubu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has not officially declared intentions to vie for the 2023 presidency, but his associates have begun campaigns for him.
In a statement on Sunday, Franklin Ebere-Njoku, special assistant to Aminu Suleiman, director-general of TSO, said Chidari promised to put in his best for the realisation of Tinubu’s ambition.
According to the organisation, the Kano speaker also expressed gratitude to Tinubu for supporting him during his mother’s funeral.
“We believe in your political ideologies and shall continue to support your course through the Tinubu support Organization (TSO),” Suleiman said.
“The speaker is appointed the north west coordinator in recognition of his dedication.”
Earlier in the month, Chidari had said Kano would support the former Lagos governor for president in 2023 owing to the role he played in ensuring that President Muhammadu Buhari was elected in 2015.
In September, Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano governor, visited Tinubu in London when the APC chieftain visited the European country for medical reasons.
