By Ife Oluwa

At least 26 members of the All progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi State have dragged Sadiq Abubakar, a former Chief of Air Staff, praying for a court order compelling him to run for the Bauchi governorship election in 2023.

The matter which is filed before Bauchi State High Court two is among others seeking for an order of the court that will within 30 days force Air Vice Marshal Sadiq Abubakar (retired) to make a public decision to either vie for the governorship position in the state or not.

Danlami Baban Takko, in a chat with reporters in Bauchi, said the state is in dire need of a competent leadership style from people with big hearts like the former Chief of Air Staff.

He said Sadiq is the only competent candidate that can topple Bala Mohammed and put a pause to his clueless leadership style and, thereby change the narratives.

Baban Takko said despite several calls from across the State demanding the former Chief of Air Staff to declare his intention for the governorship contest in the state in 2023, he felt it is more pressing at this moment to do needful to make him make the move, their decision to take a legal step.

Salisu Amadu Barau, Chairman Media and Publicity Committee of the 2023 gubernatorial ambition of Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar (retired), said the route taken by the 26 persons is not too far from what they have been doing, insisting that it only adds value to their crusade.
