6 Killed, 5 Injured In Bauchi Multiple Accidents  

Bauchi The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi has said that multiple auto crashes along the Bauchi-Maiduguri expressway killed six passengers and injured five others in Darazo. 

WikkiTimes gathered that some of the injured victims sustained bruises, fractures and burns and are currently receiving treatment at Darazo General Hospital. 

Yusuf Abdullahi, Bauchi State FRSC Sector Commander said the accidents occurred on Saturday afternoon, adding that the rescue operation team arrived at the scene within 7 minutes from the time that the accident was reported.

The Sector Commander said that the crash involved 2 Vehicles,  a grey-colure Toyota commercial bus with registration number DRZ 356ZD and a blue-Mercedes Benz commercial articulated trailer with no registration as of the time of the crash.

He said 12 people, all Male Adults were involved in the crash out of which 5 were variously injured while 6 were killed with wrong overtaking (WOV) as the probable cause of the crash.

He explained that the accident occurred 12 kilometres away from FRSC Base in the Darazo -Bauchi route of the ever-busy Bauchi- Maiduguri expressway.
