WikkiData: Sokoto State, 22 LGAs Secure ₦45 Billion FAAC Allocations in Two-Month Period

Governor Ahmad Aliyu’s administration in Sokoto State has received a combined total of ₦45 billion from the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for the state and its 22 Local Government Areas (LGAs) over January and February 2025. 

According to BudgIT data analyzed by WikkiTimes, the Sokoto State government was allocated a total of ₦25.02 billion during the two months.

The data noted that in January, the state government got ₦11,098,746,351.25 while in February, it got ₦13,925,525,919.66.

The 22 LGAs of the state collectively received ₦19.97 billion during the two months. The LGAs got ₦8,962,954,667.81 in January and in February, received an allocation of ₦11,013,745,338.38.

The allocations are critical for funding public services, infrastructure, and administrative operations across the state, as Sokoto relies heavily on the FAAC allocations.
