Uzodimma Felicitates Muslims On Eid-el-Maulud

Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has felicitated Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Mohammad.

This is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, and made available to newsmen on Monday in Owerri.

The governor urged Muslim faithful not only to emulate Mohammad, but also use the occasion to deepen the virtues of love, patience and perseverance which the prophet preached and stood for.

“No time in the history of Nigeria has love, peace, unity and respect for our diversity been needed than now.

“I urge our Muslim brothers to fervently pray for peace, unity and tolerance in Nigeria and shun every form of violence and lawlessness.

“Do well to focus more on the virtues of hard work, peaceful disposition to one another and love for nation in line with the virtues taught by the Almighty Allah, “he said.

He advised Muslims to pray fervently for Nigeria’s leadership and spare a thought for their brethren who might be financially challenged. (NAN)
