Residents of Dahol, a community in Zarmaganda, Jos South local government area of Plateau State have resorted to communal efforts to patch potholes with stones and sand along the 4km stretch of the road that connects them with other parts of Jos.
WikkiTimes learned the residents were worried about the deplorable condition of the road amid continuous neglect from the Plateau State Government for years, thereby subjecting them to hardships.
Friday Bako, a Youth Leader in the community, said the deplorable road constitutes the biggest nightmare for people of the area, making them toil on the road, notably during rainy season.

He said residents and visitors alike, hesitate to drive on the road due to its deteriorating condition amid sustained neglect from those in positions of authority in Plateau, adding that it denies them the opportunity to explore the full economic advantage Dahol is endowed with.
Gregory Davou, Head of the Community, accused Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong of relegating the road to the lowest ebb on the hierarchy of projects being executed by his administration on the Plateau.
He, therefore, pleaded with the governor to help fix the road to ease the continuous hardship residents of Dahol experience on the road.
