Adamawa Gets New Grand Khadi

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintir of Adamawa State has administered oath of office on Ibrahim Wakili Sudi to become the acting Grand Khadi of the state.

Justice Sudi was sworn in during a brief ceremony in Yola. The Grand Khadi was sworn in by the Adamawa State Chief Judge, Justice Nathan Musa.

Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Finitiri, represented by his Deputy Crowther Seth said the judiciary in the state has undergone a serious transformation in the past few years, adding that government cannot fold its arms to allow incompetent people to ascend to ranks in the judiciary.

The governor warned judges in the state to discharge their duties in accordance with the provisions of the law to enable them adequately perform their chores as the last hope of the common man.

Responding, the Acting Gand Khadi, Justice Ibrahim Wakili Sudi appreciated the governor for finding him worthy of such an exalted position, promising to deliver on the mandate assigned to him without fear or favour.

The Acting Grand Khadi is expected to work for a period not exceeding three months in an acting capacity.
