The 14 PDP members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have vowed to purchase governorship nominations forms for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s re-election in 2023.
The 25-member Adamawa State House of Assembly comprises 14 PDP lawmakers and 11 APC legislators.
Aminu Iya Abbas, Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly said that Governor Fintiri has done exceedingly well in his first tenure, adding that any well-meaning citizen of the state will support the development strides Governor Fintiri brought to the state to continue.
“In furtherance of our vote of confidence on His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, we the PDP members in the House have decided to get his re-election nomination and expression of interest forms for him,” the Speaker said.
WikkiTimes gathered that thus far, nobody in Adamawa State showed interest in challenging Fintiri for the PDP Adamawa State governorship ticket.
PDP governorship nomination forms for 2023 general elections are pegged at N21 million, a million naira increase from what it was in 2019.
