Adamawa, Taraba, Others Get New Commissioners of Police

Adebola Hamzat and Suleiman Yusuf have been announced as the new Commissioners of Police for Adamawa and Taraba states.

Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) disclosed this in a press statement, noting that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba, has also ordered the posting and redeployment of Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs).

Other police sheriffs redeployed, according to Adejobi are CP Emeka Frank Mba, for Ogun State, CP Idowu Owohunwa Lagos State while CP Faleye E.S. Olaleye was posted to Ebonyi State.

CP Matthew Akinyosola for AIG Police Mobile, CP Jonathan Towuru for AIG Zone 6 Calabar, CP Sylvester A. Alabi for AIG Zone 2 Lagos, CP Akande Sikiru Kayode for AIG Zone 11 Osogbo and CP Abimbola Adebola Shokoya for AIG Zone 17 Akure.

Adejobi added that DIG Danmallam Mohammed had been redeployed to the Department of Finance and Administration.

“The IGP, as noted in the statement, charged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running to ensure the mission, vision, and policy statements of his administration are effectively complied with in the areas of crime-fighting, public cooperation, and safety.

Adejobi said the IGP also called for support and cooperation from members of the public to enable the newly posted senior officers to perform optimally on their mandate, noting that the postings were with immediate effect.
