After Failed PoS Transaction, Kuda Bank Removes N100,000 from Student’s Account

Akanbi Elija Opeyemi, a student of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Niger State, has narrated how Kuda, a fintech company, debited him N100,000 after a failed transaction via a Moniepoint Point of Sale (POS).

The student who resides in Bosso Area, Minna told WikkiTimes the “heist” took place on January 28.

“I used Kuda ATM to withdraw thrice but was debited twice,” Opeyemi recounted. “Three days after, N50,000 was reversed out of 100,000 that was debited.”

According to him, Kuda claimed to be working on the issue.

“I showed them receipts of failed transactions and everything including transaction I.D responses but nothing has been done to reverse my money,” Opeyemi lamented.

He added: “I sent emails to them many times but it got to the point that I no longer understand them. I called them almost every day.”

He would later contact Moniepoint and the fintech company told him to get an arbiter log code or approved receipt to prove whether the money is hanging on their side.
