After WikkiTimes Investigation, Bauchi Gov Approves Employment Of Over 1,000 Medical Personnel

WikkiTimes had earlier documented how inadequate medical personnel, poor government policies, poor motivation among others continue to pose a major blockade in the delivery of health services in the state.

The report detailed how doctors who work at the general hospitals in the State were in the dilemma of relocating to greener pastures over the “inclement environment and lack of motivation.”

WikkiTimes also observed that a doctor attends to over 100 patients daily, just as nurses and other critical staff remain inadequate in almost all medical facilities in the state.

However, a statement issued by the Bauchi Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna signed by his media aide Umar Sa’idu said the engagement of the medical students was part of the state government efforts in improving the Health Sector from the grassroot levels.

The statement says the true position of the pre service medical students would be ascertained before the appointment letters would be given to them.
