Agricultural Empowerment: Bauchi Gov Presents Certificates To 208 Students

As part of efforts to bolster his empowerment drive through agriculture, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has sponsored over 208 indigenes of Bauchi State who received extensive training on modern agricultural practices.

A press statement by his Special Assistant on New Media, Lawal Mu’azu Bauchi said the Governor has on Saturday presented certificates of completion “to over two hundred and eight youths from Bauchi   benefited from a two-week Agriculture Skill Acquisition Programme in Keffi, Nasarawa State.”

The statement says the beneficiaries sponsored by Bauchi State Government were enrolled into different agricultural schemes such as fishery, poultry among others.

Governor Bala Mohammed via his media aide said the initiative was introduced by his administration to engage the youths inline with the administration’s drive to reduce unemployment in Bauchi State.

“The Governor added that his administration is determined to woo investors within and outside the country for the state not to be dependent on the federal allocation,

The statement quoted the governor as saying that “the key to unlock the potentiality of Nigerian youths is proper engagement in fruitful ventures such as agriculture.”

The Governor said the target is to train ten thousand youth from Bauchi State, saying the state will actively engage the trainees upon completion of their programme.
