ALERT: Bandits Infiltrating Niger Villages in North Central

Bandits riding on motorcycles were spotted this morning, crossing into villages around Wushishi local council, Niger State.

The terrorists, according to locals, got access to the villages through Zungeru-Tegina road after crossing Kundu bridge in Rafi local council where they wreaked havoc two weeks ago.

Kundu is a few miles away from Zungeru town, the headquarters of Wushishi LGA.

“The bandits are now heading to Akere axis in Wushishi LGA,” a local told WikkiTimes, adding security operatives have been deployed to Zungeru-Tegina road.

“They crossed before the military operatives arrive the scene,” he added.

The bandits have been marauding the area repeatedly since they abducted scores of Islamiyya students in Tegina town in 2021.
