Barely a month after an explosion rocked a beer parlour in the Kabba area of Kabbah-Bunu Local Government, Kogi State, the police authority earlier today confirmed another similar incident in the same locality.
William Ovye-Aya, the Kogi State police spokesman said, “the bomb was planted in a beer parlour at Omofemi Bar in Okepadi Quarters.” According to him, there was no casualty recorded.

WikkiTimes learned that a similar incident occurred on May 11, 2022, at Lewu junction in Kabba, claiming at least, three lives.
Ovye-Aya stated that the state’s commissioner of police, Edward Egbuka, has ordered the deployment of the Bomb Detective Squad to move to the scene to ascertain the nature of the explosion.

He said the police has overtaken the situation and assured that a thorough investigation will be carried out to ascertain the cause of the blast and the culprits.
The spokesperson faulted the perpetrators for disrupting what he described as prevailing peace in the state, adding that the command will not rest until such elements are brought to book and called on the citizens to continue their normal duties without any fear.
WikkiTimes also gathered that similar attacks were recorded in Taraba State last month. But about two days later, the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) claimed responsibility for the mayhem.
