The Arewa Online Publishers’ Association, AOPA has commended Kano state Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for reappointing former President, Nigeria Union of Journalists Mohammed Garba as commissioner.
AOPA described the reappointment of the former NUJ President
by Ganduje as laudable since he’s exhibited high sense of “dynamism andprofessionalism” in discharging his duties.In a press statement signed by the association’s Secretary,Comrade Balarabe Junaidu, AOPA stated that Mohammed Garba displayed enough versatility,patriotism and dexterity as well as innovations and uniqueness into informationdissemination in Kano State during Ganduje’s first tenure.
The contributions, the association said cannot be detachedfrom the land mark achievement and development of Ganduje’s administration.
“The news about your reappointment by Governor UmarGanduje into the Kano State cabinet did not come as a surprise as it can belikened to the saying that a golden fish has no hidden place.
“Being reappointed is a testimony of the dynamism andprofessionalism in information management which you brought to bear on Ganduje’sAdministration.
“Members of Arewa Online Publishers’ Association canboldly say that the people of Kano State were adequately and accuratelyinformed of government policies and programmes , a development which helped increating a conducive atmosphere necessary for good governance”, the statementread in part.
