The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday in Abuja, congratulated its members for the peaceful conduct of its just concluded nationwide Local Government Area (LGA) Congresses held on Sept. 4. Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, National Secretary, APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) in a statement, urged those who might have been dissatisfied with the outcome of the exercise to approach the party’s Appeal Committees.
He said the committees which had been charged to ensure fair hearing as it attended to complaints from aggrieved party members, had been detailed to resume sittings in various states.
The APC scribe said the party’s nationwide state congresses to elect its executives had been fixed for Saturday, Oct. 2, ahead of its National Convention, expected to hold before the end of the year. “
According to the approved schedule of activities for the party’s state congresses, sale of forms will commence from Wednesday, Sept. 15, to Sept. 27, 2021. “
Screening of aspirants for state executive positions will take place from Sept. 29 to 30. Appeals arising from state congresses is scheduled from Oct. 9 to 16 . “On the cost of nomination forms, aspirants for the position of State Chairman will purchase forms at the cost of N100,000.
Deputy State Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer aspirants will pay N50,000,” he said. He added that aspirants for the position of Senatorial Chairmen were to purchase forms at N50,000; Senatorial Youth Leader N30,000 and other offices N30,000.
Akpanudoedehe said female and physically challenged aspirants would pay 50 per cent of the prescribed fees for each position.(NAN)
