Arsenal’s Jesus Recovers from Injury, Airlifts Ahead of Tonight’s Match

Since his injury during the World Cup tournaments, Gabriel Jesus had not featured in Arsenal matches in the Europa League, but the striker would be airlifted to Lisbon where his team would play against Sporting Lisbon, according to goal.com.

Jesus sustained a knee injury while playing for Brazil in Qatar, during the World Cup. Earlier on Saturday, he joined in the post-game warm-down with the substitutes after Arsenal’s 3-2 win against Bournemouth. Also, yesterday, he trained with his team at London Colney ahead of the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash at Sporting.

Although it is not clear Jesus would feature in today’s match, he is expected to be on the plane to Lisbon.
