ATAP Bans Graduation Party

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic ATAP Bauchi has banned all gatherings for the celebration of graduation in the institution.

This comes after final year students of the polytechnic complete their final exams.

Dr Maijama’a Danjuma, Dean of Students Affairs ATAP in a letter dated 22nd August addressed to the polytechnic community and made available to WikkiTimes

He said all forms of graduation celebrations such as signing out on T-shirts, vehicular display, group chanting as well as organizing parties for the celebrations were all suspended.

“This is to notify all students of the Polytechnic that all forms of graduation celebrations such as sign out on T-shirts, all forms of vehicle displays using motorcycles/cars, all forms of group chanting, parties in and around the school have been suspended”, the letter read in part.

Dr Danjuma said the suspension became necessary in order to ensure adequate security of the students and the institution as well, noting that erring graduands would be brought to the book and face the wrath of the law.
