ATBU Don Bemoans Rising Trends of Immorality Among Youths

Professor Bala Sulaiman Dalhart, a lecturer with the Abubakar Tafawabalewa University Bauchi, ATBU has decried how youths and women jettison traditional values and etiquette thereby giving rise to a spate of immorality in the society.

The Don opined that the current social predicaments in the society are tied to a deviation from the tenants of not just Islam but also good codes of morality our ancestors are known with.

Professor Dalhart stated this in Bauchi while making a presentation at a Ramadan lecture organised by Sisters of Jannah.

He said to change the current irritating narratives of the spate of immorality, people at individual and community levels must make a deliberate attempt to bring back values hitherto considered unfashionable.

Hajiya Muhibbat Abdullahi Raji, Amirat of the group said women as custodians of every home have vital roles to play in the upbringing of their children to become useful members of the society.

The Amirat said the Lecture becomes imperative considering the high rate of social vices among youth hence the need for all hands to be on deck to curb the looming menace.
