Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won Katagum local government area Bauchi State where Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu and State Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Maryam Yelwaji Katagum hail from.
Results of the presidential election from Katagum local government announced at the Bauchi State Presidential election results collation centre indicating that Atiku scored 22,987 votes.
On the hand, APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu scored 20,030 votes in Katagum while NNPP’s Kwankwaso scored 9,672 votes.
After Bauchi local government, Katagum accounts for the second highest with the largest concentration of votes in Bauchi State.
