A Bauchi based youth group under the auspices of “Coalition of Youth and Students of Bauchi state”, have stage a peaceful protest at the Emir’s place, calling on the emir to immediately revokes the traditional titled of “Jakadan Bauchi” conferred on Honorable Yakubu Dogara.
Dogara is the member representing Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency at the national assembly.
The call for the revocation of the traditional title followed the pelting on the emir of Bauchi who was on his way to Bogoro to attend the late Baba Gonto memorial services.
The emir was allegedly stoned by some aggrieved youths of the area who were reportedly against the event
During the protest at the emir’s palace, the group leader Comrade Nuru Gwabba alleged that Yakubu Dogara had betrayed the emirate.
“Dogora’s traditional title must be revoked, we don’t need him anymore; he betrays the Emirate council”, Nuru said.

The youths carrying different placards were seen shouting at the emir’s palace and declaring Dogara as “Persona non grata.”
The group during the protest presented its request letter to the Emir through Ajiyan Bauchi, Alh Bala Abubakar Attahiru.
Attahiru assured them that their demands will be tabled before the emir, adding that the emirate was already investigating the incident involving the emir.
WikkiTimes recalled that Mr Dogara had written to the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba and the Director General of State Secuirty Services, SSS alerting them of a possible breach of peace in the area should the event be allowed to hold.
Yakubu Dogara who is currently the member representing Bogoro/Dass/ Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives had requested that the organizers be made to sign an undertaking that, should anything happened, they would be held responsible.
