Wife of the Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Mariam Bala Mohammed has donated N100,000 to a road crash survivor, Sani Umar to undergo head surgery at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH).
The victim, Sani Umar, was hit by a car. He has been in the hospital while medical doctors recommended that he undergo skull surgery. WikkiTimes learnt that the victim was experiencing financial constraint on the hospital bed.
The Governor’s wife, Hajiya Mariam who presented the money on Tuesday to Sani Umar who was on admission said that helping poor who may be in dire need of help, gives her the best joy.

Marian, who was represented by her aides, charged people to develop the habit of going for regular medical checkup to prevent ill-health in them from degenerating.
She said that was why Governor Bala Mohammed constructed and renovated many hospitals in the state as part of his determination to safeguard the health of the people of Bauchi State.
“Governor Bala Mohammed has constructed many hospitals in towns and cities of Bauchi State and equipped them with both manpower and drugs to ensure the healthy condition of the people of the state. Doctors and other medical personnel are always handy to listen and respond to the health challenges of people,” she said.

The victim, Umar, who responded through one of his relatives, thanked the Governor’s wife for the gesture which touched his life and that of his family in a remarkable way.
Mariam had donated N300,000 to a woman at the Jos University Teaching Hospital whose hands and legs were amputated following diabetic complications and another N400,000 empowerment to a Bauchi metal fabricator who developed a five row planter.
