Bandits Kill 6, Abudct Scores in Niger

Terrorists locally known as bandits have reportedly killed six locals including a pregnant woman and abducted about 50 others in Niger State.

WikkiTimes learnt that bandits shed the local’s blood in Agwa community, Rafi-Kagara local council area of the northcentral state. They were countered by security personnel, but escaped with some loot and kidnapped victims.

Emmanuel Umar, Niger State Commissioner for Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs, confirmed the incident to Punch, saying he was not sure of the actual casualty.

Similarly, the terrorists wreaked havoc in Beji community of Bosso local council where they kidnapped three persons in the wee hours of Wednesday. The unhindered attack, sources said, took place behind Beji General Hospital.

Confirming the incident, spokesman for Niger Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun said it occurred around 1.30 am and a tactical team was deployed to rescue the victims.
