Marauding bandits bearing sophisticated weapons invaded Banga community in Kaura Namoda Local Government of Zanfara State, killing a classroom teacher, Abdulsalam Sarkin Yaki.
A Zamfara-based journalist, Abdul Balarabe in a Twitter post, said the bandits also abducted the deceased’s wife, Hajiya Amina including her son, Anas Abdulsalam, a graduate of the College of Health Science and Technology, Tsafe.

When WikkiTimes asked the spokesman for Zamfara Police Command, Mohammed Shehu, for further details, he requested the link to the tweet. He has neither acknowledged nor responded.
In 2021, the bandits attacked the area killing at least 21 persons and setting ablaze five military and police operational vehicles including some other vehicles belonging to the locals.
Similarly, in September this year, three soldiers, including a major and an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service were killed in an ambush along Kaura Namoda by bandits suspected to be under the notorious kingpin, Dan Karami. Kaura Namoda is about 51 kilometres from Gusau, the state capital.
