The Katsina Police command says it has arrested Malam Sani Bello, a spiritualist who specialised in preparing local bulletproof jackets for bandits.
The spiritual leader who supplied “protection vests” to bandits in Kaduna and Kastina States at the rate of N60,000 per pair, confessed that apart from the vests, he also give them love charms and other concoctions against enemy attacks.

The 53-year-old spiritualist who was paraded before newsmen by Gambo Isa, spokesman for Katsina Police Command, said one Boza, a bandits’ leader called him demanding that he should prepare bulletproof jackets for them.
“I prepared it, as you can see and then rapped it with charms that are meant for protection. They called me that I should deliver it to Sabuwar Gaya in Kaduna state. I met a driver there whom I handed over the jackets to him,” he confessed.
The spiritualist explained that luck ran out of him when the bandits contacted him to deliver the charms in Katsina where he was arrested by men of the anti-robbery squad following a tip-off on the suspect’s activities.
