Bandits Strike Katsina Community, Kill 3, Abduct 10 Others

At least three persons were confirmed dead while ten others including women were kidnapped by bandits in Dankumeji village of Kankara LGA in Katsina State.

Residents of the village claimed to have made efforts to notify Kankara Divisional Police Officer for intervention during the attack.

According to Bakatsine, a conflict expert page on X, when the bandits attacked the village on Saturday, they alleged that the DPO demanded for payments before coming to their aid.

Bakatsine, in a tweet which he tagged Force Spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda and others, said sources in the village confirmed that the DPO demanded for a pay before deploying officers to respond to the bandits’ attack.

“Moment ago, bandits left Ɗankumeji village in Ƙankara LGA, Katsina State, after killing three people and abducting at least 10 people both men and women”.
