Bandits who kidnapped Tanimun ‘Yanware, a former councillor in Zamfara State, have threatened to kill him should his family refuse to pay a N20 million ransom.
Tanimun who was a councillor in ‘Yanwaren Daji, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, was kidnapped when returning from a business trip alongside his friend, Ashiru Yanware. WikkiTimes learnt that they were kidnapped along the Funtua-Tsafe highway.

A family source who pleaded anonymity said the duo were returning from Dandume town in Katsina State when they were whisked away by bandits.
According to him, they could not reach out to them since Thursday, but later on Friday, the bandits called to inform their families to pay the sum of twenty million Naira as ransom before they could be released. The source added that the family is still negotiating with the bandits.
