A midweek coordinated attacks by dreaded gunmen locally known as bandits has led to the killing of three locals and abduction of six family members in some suburbs of Katsina State.
The abducted family members include women and children in Bakori village, Katsina. According to BBC Hausa, the heavily armed men invaded Bakori and Barebari villages in succession.

After kidnapping the family members in Bakori, the bandits headed to Barebari where they molested people and later killed one person.
A source who spoke to BBC Hausa, said the gunmen killed the man in his presence. According to the source, the man was killed while trying to lock his house.
As banditry attacks continue unabated,the people of Barebari usually seek refuge outside the village when night falls and return the following morning.
In addition, the gunmen also abducted two people and killed another at Majema village in Danja local govt area of Katsina state. The deceased person was killed while trying to offer rescue.
However, when contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Katsina Police Command, Gambo Isah, told WikkiTimes he will make some inquiries and revert.
