The Director-General of Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency, BASEPA Dr Ibrahim Kabir, has pledged his commitment to ensure regular evacuation of refuse, suck away and sceptic of the Bauchi Correctional Centre for the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the facility.
He said that keeping the facility clean will ensure healthy living for the inmates as well as Correctional Service Personnel.
The Director-General said this on Sunday when he led senior officers of the agency on a courtesy visit to the House Keeper of the Bauchi Custodial Centre.
Dr Kabir further assured the House Keeper of the readiness of BASEPA to ensure prompt and timely waste disposal from the facility for not only the immediate health and sanitary of the inhabitants of the facility but also the host community.
The Director-General Said the environmental offices of the agency are ever ready to offer technical and professional advice to the custodial centre to ensure an acceptable sanitary condition of the facility.
