Bauchi APC Gov’ship Aspirant Debunks Talks With Gov Mohammed Over Move To Deputise Him

Hon Farouk Mustapha, a former aspirant for the 2023 Bauchi governorship under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied having direct talks with Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir over a move to be his running mate in the forthcoming election.

Farouk in an interview with WikkiTimes says consultations about his next political move are still evolving.

The former lawmaker also said Adamu Adamu, the current Minister of Education was not instrumental in his resolve to dump the All Progressives Congress.

Hon Farouk, a former lawmaker was touted to be in the pipeline to replace current Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Senator Baab Tela.

Sources had earlier told WikkiTimes that Mr Farouk resigned his APC membership to replace the current Bauchi Deputy Governor Senator Baba Tela as Gov Mohammed’s running mate.

Hon Farouk in a phone interview with WikkiTimes said that he has received several invitations to join the PDP, NNPP and other parties, but was yet to decide.

He said there was no one-on-one conversation with Bala Mohammed about the purported Deputy Governorship slot.
