Bauchi Approves N20b For Rural Roads Construction

The Bauchi State Executive Counciul has approved N20b for the construction of rural roads in the state spreading across four local governments of the state.

Abdulkadir Ibrahim, Commissioner for works and transprort divulged this reporters on Friday shortly after the end of the Bauchi State Executive Council meeting at the Council Chamber of the Bauchi State Government House.

He said the roads to be constructed are Miya to Soro in Ganjuwa local government; Rishi to Tulu to Tama in Toro local government; Rimin-Zayam to Polchi connecting Toro and Dass local governments and Misau to Miya linking Misau local government to Ganjuwa local government.

Other road projects approved are the rehabilitation of critical rural roads including Mararaban Liman Katagum road, Yashi to Guguri road and some township roads in Azare.

The Commissioner said that the roads cover ober 200 killometers.
