The Bauchi state house of assembly has condoled with Speakers and members of Borno and Nassarawa States Houses of Assembly over the sudden demise of their three members.
Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman stated this in a condolence message sent to the Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan and his Nassarawa State counterpart Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.
According to a press statement made available to WikkiTimes by spokesman of the Speaker, Mal. Abdul Burrs, the speaker Abubakar expressed shocked by the sad news of the sudden death of the three lawmakers in less than a week.
“We are saddened by the fact that they have been taken to eternity at a time when their constituencies and their states as a whole require their services as lawmakers”, the statement said.
It added that: “On behalf of the entire members of Bauchi state house of assembly, I convey our heartfelt condolences to you and all the people of Borno and Nassarawa States for the irreparable loss.”
The statement noted that the lawmakers who died after brief illness, include late Hon Wakili Bukar Lawan and Hon. Umar Jauro Audi of Borno State House of Assembly and Hon. Adamj Suleiman of Nassarawa State House of Assembly.
Rt. Hon. Abubakar Suleiman who is also the Chairman of Conference of Speakers of Northeast prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal and grant their families and constituents the courage to bear with the great loss.
