Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi State Governor has nominated six people as commissioners including two others as director general and auditor general.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Abdul Ahmad Burra, the spokesman to the speaker of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman
According to the statement, the governor forwarded the list for screening and confirmation of the nominees.
Those nominated as commissioners include, Abdulkadir Ibrahim from Alkaleri local council, Zainab Baban Takko, Bauchi local council, Adamu Babayo Gabarin Darazo LGA and Maryam Garba Bagel from Dass LGA.
Others include, Dr. Sabiu Abdu Gwalabe, Katagum local council and Ahmed Aliyu Jalam from Dambam LGA.
However, Joshua Titus Sanga was nominated for Director General, Public Procurement Bureau and Sagir Abdullahi Muhammad as the Auditor General.
The assembly therefore, referred the screening of DG Public Procurement Bureau and Auditor General to the House committees of Appropriation and Public Account, giving them two weeks for feedback.
In the same vein, those nominated as commissioners would appear before the screening committee starting from September 7, 2022.
