Members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly have ON Thursday unanimously resolved that Governor Bala Abdulkadir should immediately suspend commissioner for finance Hon. Adamu sanda and the State Accountant General over non-payment of salary to some workers in Bauchi State.
Announcing the resolution during plenary on Thursday, Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Abubakar Sulaiman, said the House received avalanche of complaints dwelling on partitioned payment of workers’ entitlements over the last couple of months in the state.
Hon Abubakar Sulaiman reiterated that the resolution to call for the suspension of the duos became necessary to allow for comprehensive investigation on the lingering problem of ghost workers and non-payment of salaries.
The House, however, mandated its Public Account, Finance and Cabinet Affairs committees to carry a thorough investigation on why some section of the civil service in the state were not paid their entitlements for months.
The Committees were requested to report to the House within two weeks for proper action.
