Bauchi Auto Crash Claims three, Eight Others Injured

A road traffic crash has killed three persons in Bauchi State leaving eight other passengers injured after two commercial vehicles were involved.

WikkiTimes gathered that the accident occurred at Ganjuwa, a community along Bauchi-Kano road, involved two commercial vehicles as a result of overspeeding.

Yusuf Abdullahi, Bauchi State Road Safety Corps Commander confirmed the incident to reporters in Bauchi.

“A total of 11 passengers, six male adults, one male child and four female adults, were involved in the crash.

“Before the FRSC rescue team got to the scene, men of the Nigeria Police Force attached to the Kafin Madaki Division, did the rescue operation.

“They rushed the victims to the Kafin Madaki General Hospital for medical treatment where a medical doctor confirmed one male child, one male adult, and one female adult dead.

“Eight others who sustained various degrees of injuries were receiving treatment in the hospital,” he said.

“The crash involved one commercial and one private vehicle.

“The commercial vehicle is a Saloon Volkswagen Golf car, red in colour while the private vehicle is a Saloon Mercedes C230, silver in colour.

“The probable causes of the crash are Road Traffic Violation and Speed Violation,” he said.
