Dr Aminu Hassan Gamawa, BauchiState Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, says the state government will
conclude budget documents for the 2020 fiscal year before the end of November.Gamawa was speaking when hefeatured on a BRC phone in programme tagged “Tafiya Da Gwani”.
In a statement made available tonewsmen through his media aide Muslim Lawal, the Commissioner said that afterthe Ministry concludes its assignment, it will forward the budget to GovernorBala Mohammed and the State Executive Council for inputs before presentation tothe State House of Assembly.
He said the budget preparationswill also feature public hearing and town hall meetings across the state to getthe inputs of the general public.
Gamawa said the administrationwill ensure early presentation of the State 2020 budget to the State House ofAssembly in order to ensure its timely passage for execution of developmentalprojects.
He said already, the stategovernment has designed Midterm Expenditure Framework on the priority areas ofthe administration and a robust fiscal strategy paper.
“As you are aware, thepriority areas of the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed arein sectors of Health, Education, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Youth and WomenEmpowerment”.
Dr Aminu Gamawa said with thesupport of the governor, capital projects was given special attention in theproposed budget, and noted that, projects without resources of executing themwere rejected in the budget.
