Bauchi Commissioner who misses maiden inauguration due to sickness sworn in

Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, Bauchi state Governor has sworn in Professor Adamu Ahmed on Wednesday as the State Commissioner, Ministry of Lands and Survey having missed the first inauguration due to sickness.

Adamu Ahmed, a Professor of Regional Planning from Ahmadu Bello University was appointed and assigned portfolio but misses the inaugural ceremony due to ill health.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony at the council Chamber, Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala challenged the commissioner to consider the full implementation of the Bauchi state’s Master plan.

The Governor who lamented the underdevelopment in Bauchi state said the master plan will help reposition Bauchi in terms of urban development.

The governor who described the commissioner as knowledgeable urged him to use his expertise to assist the administration to modernize.

Governor Bala said the Ministries, Departments and Agencies would be restructured to ensure effective service delivery.

The newly sworn in Commissioner, Professor Adamu Ahmed in his acceptance speech reaffirmed his commitment to work hard in meeting the needs of the administration.
