Bauchi commissioners, their likely portfolios according to their CVs (3)

In series, WikkiTimes highlight key information on each of the Bauchi state sworn in Commissioners based on their CVs submitted to the state’s House of Assembly.

Most of the CVs in possession of WikkiTimes have no copies of certificates attached, some are without referees—making it difficult for the state House to contact the referees and validate claims made in the CVs.

 Hon. Mohammed A. Sadiq

Mohammed A. Sadiq, who hails from Dass LGA was born in 1968 and holds masters degree in global governance ,masters degree in Business administration, PGD in management, advance diploma in public administration and diploma in purchasing and supply at university of Buckingham, United Kingdom, ATBU, BUK and Kano Polytechnic.

His 4 paged CV submitted to the house indicated that he has served in various fields and capacities in both private and public sector. He was a one time member of the House of Assembly representing Dass LGA of Bauchi state under the platform of the PDP in 1999, chief whip BAHA, 1999, PA to minister of state for transport, 2005, Chairman Dass LGA, 2011, DG ministry of environment, Bauchi among others. 

His referees include former Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.

Modibbo U. Ahmed

NNPC Mega Filling Station

The man, Modibbo U. Ahmed was born in 1968 in Jama’are local government area of Bauchi state. He was a one time member House of Representatives. His two paged CV suggests he obtained his National Diploma in Accountancy from Kebbi Polytechnic, from 1990 to 1992. His two referees have no contact details and no copies of certificates attached to his CV to validate academic claims made in the submission.

Hon. Hamisu Muazu Shira

In a five paged CV submitted to the House, Muazu Shira, was a member, House of Representatives who served as a Chairman House committee on industries in 1999. His CV listed his achievement to include proposal that change Nigeria’s Industrial Development Bank to the Bank of Industries, amongst other things.  Shira is still nursing his BSc in Public Administration, but completed Diploma in Entrepreneurship Studies and Business Management in 2016. His CV indicates that his referees are only accessible on request and did attached copies of his certificates, presumably because he’s still a student.

Umar Abubakar Sade

The nominee from Darazo LGA ; Umar Abubakar Sade in a five paged CV indicated that he was born in 1953 withDiploma in Community health and advanced Diploma in Public Administration, obtained in 1982 and 1989 as his highest certificates. He worked as staff nurse, 1977, Nursing Superintendent in 1981and also served as Chairman Technical Committee NIDs in 1998.

Sade was a member, House of Representatives from 2011-2015 and also served in various sectors in the state. His three referees all have contact numbers for further enquiries.

Nura Manu Soro

Soro is a PhD candidate on political economy in Nigerian Turkish Nile University, Abuja. He holds Msc, Leadership Studies, Nigerian Defense Academy in 2017, MSc Business Administration from ABU Zaria in 2016, BSc, International and Comparative politics American University of Nigeria in 2009, amongst others. He invented software that identified budget padding and insertions from the National Assembly.

His three paged CV bears no referees and copies of credentials.

Samaila Ibn Adamu  

Born in 1962, in Burga town of Tafawa Balewa local government area, Samaila Ibn Adamu ‎served as intern pharmacist, University Teaching Hospital Sokoto, from 1990-1995; Superintendent Pharmacist and GM, City Family pharmacy Abuja, 2002-2004 and many others. 

He started his political career in 1989 when he was elected NUBASS President, Jos branch; DPN chairmanship candidate, Tafawa Balewa LGA, 1996 and lastly, the Director planning and strategy Kauran Bauchi Campaign Organization,2019 and member central committee of Kaura inaugural committee, 2019. ‎‎He three paged CV has three referees with no phone numbers or email addresses; in addition to lacking in copies of credentials to substantiate academic claims.‎

Usman Muhammad Saleh‎

Born on 3rd March, 1969, Saleh is from Giade local government area of Bauchi state. His highest educational qualification is Masters in Public Policy and Administration obtained in 2005 from BUK and had worked in various sectors of the civil service in the state. 

The 4 paged CV submitted to the House of Assembly indicated that he has work in the ministry of agriculture and natural resources, Bauchi State, from 1987-1990.

He contested for House of Representatives for Shira, Giade Federal Constituency in 2011 and 2019.‎

‎He is currently the Chairman Techno Jamkalau Global services Nigeria LTD. and Chairman Saima farms and Agro Allied Nig. Ltd. 

Barr. Yakubu Bello Kirfi ‎

Born on 30th October, 1962 in Bauchi, Kirfi studied law at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he obtained his L.LB (HONS)‎ in 1984. Kirfi who worked with Bauchi State government from 2011 to 2012 has stride in the private sector.

His four paged CV shows Kirfi is a registered member of the PDP. Barrister Kirfi likes playing Badminton, reading and farming as some of his hobbies. He has three referees with neither email addresses nor phone numbers.
