Bauchi Emir Comments Dr. Sani, Kano Preacher For Publishing Qur’anic Commentary In Hausa

Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the emir of Bauchi has commended a popular Kano based Islamic preacher Sheikh Sani Rijiyar Lemo for publishing the first qur’anic translation in Hausa language.

Dr. Rilwanu made the commendation on Tuesday when Dr. Sani donated a copy of the book to the emir.

The traditional ruler said the translated book will be beneficial to all Muslims in the country and beyond who speak Hausa as they could read Qur’anic verses and understand their meanings.

According to him, the book would now bridge the gap between the learned Muslims who know Arabic and those who do not to comprehend Allah’s message.

The emir asked other Islamic scholars to author more books that would preach good values and virtues to Nigerians.

Earlier, Sheikh Rijiyar Lemo represented by his associate Sheikh Ibrahim Disina explained that the book is the first of its kind adding that it does not only translate Qur’an in Hausa but also has commentary of the verses in it.

Disina said a similar one was published by late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi and Sheikh Nasiru Kabara noting however that the new book released by Lemo is more analytical.
