One Ali Lawan of Anguwar Doya, Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State has raped his three-year-old daughter.
SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer Bauchi State Police Command disclosed this to reporters in a statement in Bauchi on Saturday.
SP Wakil said Ali defiled his daughter in their house after he asked her 24-year-old mother, Maryam Abdullahi to spread a mat for him in the compound.
“Lawan asked her to bring him a mat to lay down her daughter Hajara, not real name, aged 3-years-old to sleep.
“Later, she came back to the room and met Hajara laying down unconscious sweating and vomiting through her mouth, nose and her private part was swollen,” the statement read in part.
He said that the victim was rushed to Kirfi General Hospital where doctors confirmed that she was raped.
SP wakil said that a police investigation is ongoing on the matter, adding that as soon as police gathered details about the incident, the suspect will be brought to book.
