Comprising 20 local football councils, the congress resolved to pass a vote of no confidence on the Madaci and other three board members namely; Kabir Yusuf, Abdullahi Abdulaziz and Usman Abass Shehu. They were accused of actions injurious to the sports in the state.

“The congress acted in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of the statutes which gave the congress the power to pass a vote of no confidence on any member found engaging in activities retarding the progress of football in the state,” a communique issued by the association stated.
