Abubakar Danlami popularly known as Danlami Anslow, a pump attendant and Deputy Manager of the fuel station was the first person to see the deceased’s body.
“I came early to the station around 6:00 am, I noticed that the pit was open and I directly moved to the pit and looked down only to see him (the deceased) inside bending his head down while beside him was a rubber bucket filled with petrol and a tin tied with a long rope and a torch light,” Danlami told WikkiTimes. “I thought he was alive and I started calling; Galadima, Galadima… before I realised that he was dead.”
He added: “I then drew the attention of my colleagues. I called the manager of our station and the director who advised the security officers about the incident. We called them and he was taken for burial”
Danlami could not say whether the deceased had records of oil theft during his stay in the company.
