The management of Jos Electricity Distributor had revealed that its customers in some northern states will experience power outage starting from tomorrow for the next six days
In a statement released by the Head of Corporate Communications of Jos Disco, on Saturday, Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah, the outage will commence from August 28. He added that the step is geared toward enabling the company to carry out some major maintenance.
According to the statement, the affected states are Bauchi, Gombe and Plateau. He noted that the power outage will begin from every 9am to 5pm for the next six days.
He also revealed that, the planned outage by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) was to enable its local Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) to make some installations, adding there would be an increase in load shedding during the period as the 330KV Jos complex will remain on supply via Kaduna-Jos 330KV line.
“The planned outage by TCN is to enable its EPCC contractors to safely connect the gantry beam of the new APO line to the existing Lafia line-Jos 330kv double circuit,” he stated.
