Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has distributed food items worth millions of Naira as Ramadan gifts to Journalists, Media Organizations and members of various forms of Social Media groups across the state.
Distributing the items in Government House Bauchi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Comrade Muktar Gidado noted that the items distributed include over three hundred bags of rice and sugar, stating that the move was to assist them in the holy month of Ramadan.
Comrade Muktar Gidado said Governor Bala Mohammed has recognized the contributions of the Media family in publicizing policies and programmes of his administration hence the need to appreciate them.
He called on them to reciprocate the gesture by sustaining the positive reportage for the overall development of the State.
While wishing them Allah’s blessings in the holy month, Muktar Gidado noted that the state government would continue to open more areas of working collaboration with journalists in view of their positive contributions to society.
The beneficiaries include members of Government House Press Crew, Correspondent Chapel, Government and Private Media Organizations in the State as well as Social Media Groups.
