Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed hassigned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ‘Water is Right Foundation’, aGerman organization to upgrade and boost sanitation facilities in hospitalsacross Bauchi State.
In a statement made available to WikkiTimes through the governor’s Special Assistant on new media, Lawal Mua’azu Bauchi, the German organization will deploy its resources in Bauchi to help improve water sanitation and hygiene with the view to achieving zero open defecation.
The two parties have agreed to work together to improvetrade and investment relationships between Bauchi State and Germany.
Similarly, the Governor had met with Mrs Stefanie, the CEOof BetterEcho GmbH and her team in continuation of his engagements withcritical stakeholders in Germany.
The Governor equally granted audience to two representativesof the Bauchi State Community in Germany, Usman Abdullahi Giade of DeutscheWelle Radio and Dr Gar of the Linguistics Department, University of Berlin whopledged to support the state to access opportunities in the educational sectorand bilateral cooperation.
Governor Bala who expressed gratitude for the visit,appealed to them not to relent in seeking for further ways of assisting theirhome state through international opportunities.
Governor Bala Mohammed will also meet with many potentialinvestors and conglomerates in Berlin as part his official working visit toGermany.
