Bala Mohammed, Bauchi state governor has appointed the son of a popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Dr. Abubakar Dahiru Bauchi as chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
A press statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Sabiu Mohammed Baba, said the governor also approved the appointment of Alhaji Yakubu Barau Ningi and Zakari Ibrahim Muhammad as permanent commissioners in the board.
Other appointed board members are Yusuf Abdullahi Itas, Abbas Waziri and Mrs Comfort Audu.
The Secretary to the State Government says the appointments were with immediate effect.
